Selective Fines Free
Good news! Most older books and media are fines free.
The items that are subject to late fees are ones that would inconvenience fellow patrons if they’re late. These items include:
- New & trending items
- New media
- Video games
- Library of Things items
- Museum passes
Please note that regardless of fines, items will still be billed if not returned.
Paying Fines
Fines can be paid at the circulation desk by cash or check ONLY. If you do not have cash or checks on you, you can pay fines online. Please be aware Safari browser is not supported for paying fines at this time. You can only pay fines using a Discover, Visa or MasterCard credit card or a bank card with the MasterCard or Visa logo; American Express is not supported. There is a minimum payment amount of $5.
- Click Log in, located on the top right of the catalog webpage, then click the Sign in button
- Enter your 14 digit Franklin Square library card barcode number (without spaces) and your PIN (see our Managing Account page for more information). Click Log In.
- Your name will now be visible on the top right corner of the screen. Click on your name and then click on your fines/fees number.
- Choose whether to pay for a selection of the fine or the total fine and type in your billing and credit card information. When done, click Submit.
- Please remember to log out of your account when you are finished using the Log Out button.
