Nassau Digital Doorway

Use the Nassau Digital Doorway website to browse and select from thousands of adult, young adult, and juvenile fiction (i.e. romances, mysteries, science fiction, humor) and non-fiction (i.e. biography, health and fitness, politics, sports) titles–including current best sellers and old classics–in both audio and e-book formats in various languages. Download up to 10 titles at once to your computer and enjoy them on your PC/Mac, a wide selection of portable devices (complete list of compatible devices), or burn them directly onto a CD (when permitted by the publisher). All titles return themselves automatically–absolutely no late fines!
To access the Franklin Square Public Library’s digital audio and e-book collection you will need:
- A valid Franklin Square library card in good standing.
- A computer with Internet access (high speed connection preferred).
- Free downloadable software for the computer and/or device on which you wish to access the material from the site.
Magazines
To read all your favorite magazines on your PC or Mac, click here. You must be signed in to view the collection. Magazines can also be accessed via the Libby App.
World Languages
NDD content is available in multiple languages! World Languages can be found on the NDD front page menu, or click here for direct access.
You can also use the multilingual interface option. This feature allows users to translate the site’s navigations into languages other than English (it does not, however, translate the digital items themselves or text added by the library in your curated collections). Click the language dropdown in the top right to change to the language of your choosing.

Libby App

The Libby App is the free public library app offered by OverDrive to access all your favorite ebooks, audiobooks, and magazines right on your phone or tablet. Enjoy various customizations such as text size, font, and lighting for ebooks and playback speed and sleep timers for audiobooks. Search for Libby on the Apple App store or Google Play store or click here.
Sora Student App

Sora works like Libby except that it is geared specifically toward elementary through high school students. The schools that are using Sora (check to see if your school uses Sora) are creating their own circulating collections and, in some cases, are even supplying class sets of digital titles to their students via this system. Sora also allows students to access their Nassau Digital Doorway account.
To access NDD in the Sora app, click on the menu bar on the top right of the screen and choose “Add a public library.” You will be asked to search and connect to your public library using a Nassau Library barcode. Once you connect, you can toggle freely between the two collections (the school’s and NDD’s) by clicking the menu bar.
