Book Clubs

Long Island Reads: Long Island Reads is an Island-wide reading initiative intended to bring together readers from across Nassau and Suffolk Counties to discuss a book and participate in library-sponsored activities and events associated with it. The titles picked all have a direct Long Island connection.

 

Oprah’s Book Club: Since 1996, Oprah’s Book Club has selected books that engender conversation, spark enlightenment, help launch emerging authors, and reacquaint us with the already prominent. The goal? To connect readers around a community of fellow bibliophiles.

 

The Good Morning America Book Club: The GMA Book Club showcases diverse and compelling authors telling both fiction and nonfiction stories. Books are chosen by GMA staffers who love to read.

 

 

Reese’s Book Club: Each month, actress Reese Witherspoon chooses a book she loves with a woman at the center of the story. These books cover a variety of genres, from women’s fiction to thrillers to romance, and showcase a variety of unique perspectives.

 

Read With Jenna: TODAY host Jenna Bush Hager chooses a new book every month to share with the Read With Jenna book club. Jenna works hard to choose stories that will delight, entertain and challenge readers. She understands the power of a good book to unite communities and ignite conversation.
